Our Health Assistant Training courses French-speaking Switzerland

Two training options to obtain a Health Assistant certificate recognized throughout Switzerland.

Advantages of dual training

  • Certified training in 9 weeks
  • Theoretical courses can be directly put into practice
  • The experiences carried out during the internship fuel learners' reflection on their future profession
  • The learner is at the heart of the system
  • You immediately put into practice what was learned in class

This formula combines theory and practice by offering you to carry it out every week 2 days of lessons at school and 3 days of internship in a healthcare institution from the start to the end of training. This formula has the advantage for the learner d’enter directly into the healthcare environment, to carry out your first experiments and give meaning to theoretical courses. This organization quickly allows learners to link theoretical knowledge and real situations and thus develop professional skills.

Training progress

Theory

Classes at school

The job of healthcare assistant requires a good understanding of the functioning and needs of the human body. This knowledge contributes to the development of learners’ skills. This knowledge is the subject of face-to-face lessons at school, it is brought to the learner using active teaching methods: exploration of previous knowledge, common reflections, group work. These methods allow for in-depth learning.

Practical

Practical workshops

After theory, it’s time for practice! Supervised by trainers, the learner practices the care inherent to their future profession. The objective of these workshops is to support the learner in acquiring the care essential to the role of health assistant and to stimulate their thinking. During these workshops, communication, professional posture, daily life care and technical care are worked on..

Internship

Internship in a health institution

Through contact with professionals in the field in healthcare institutions, the learner develops the skills of a health assistant. Gradually he becomes autonomous in the care of patients/residents and measures the responsibility of the profession. Within the care team, the trainee learns to organize himself, to recognize and report a change in the state of health of the person being treated. Thanks to BLS-AED courses, he will know how to act in the event of a life-threatening emergency.
