Training progress
Classes at school
The job of healthcare assistant requires a good understanding of the functioning and needs of the human body. This knowledge contributes to the development of learners’ skills. This knowledge is the subject of face-to-face lessons at school, it is brought to the learner using active teaching methods: exploration of previous knowledge, common reflections, group work. These methods allow for in-depth learning.
Practical workshops
After theory, it’s time for practice! Supervised by trainers, the learner practices the care inherent to their future profession. The objective of these workshops is to support the learner in acquiring the care essential to the role of health assistant and to stimulate their thinking. During these workshops, communication, professional posture, daily life care and technical care are worked on..
Internship in a health institution
Through contact with professionals in the field in healthcare institutions, the learner develops the skills of a health assistant. Gradually he becomes autonomous in the care of patients/residents and measures the responsibility of the profession. Within the care team, the trainee learns to organize himself, to recognize and report a change in the state of health of the person being treated. Thanks to BLS-AED courses, he will know how to act in the event of a life-threatening emergency.
